Matthew J. Chalker

Mr. Chalker is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice defense and defense of Maryland Board of Physicians Complaints. He also provides advisory representation on HIPAA compliance and ethical issues. Prior to joining Vernick & Associates, Mr. Chalker was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County, where he achieved thousands of convictions for Anne Arundel County by way of jury trial, bench trial and guilty plea.

Mr. Chalker is a cum laude graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was managing editor for the University of Baltimore Journal of Environmental Law. He received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park.
